Don't mess with Mommy

Boy, did she get MAD today. Luckily it was NOT at me (or Uncle Topher or Twiga). She got really really mad at our day guard today. He was not our usual guard today. On Monday's Osmund, our usual day guard, has the day off and we have a reliever, Manuel who comes. But, Manuel didn't show today so poor John, the night guard, had to stay this moring for a couple extra hours until someone from the security office came and relieved him. Tonight, at 6:05, when John hadn't arrived at work, the day guard replacement hit the alarm to call the security office and report John late...knowing that this would get him into trouble with the company. Mommy only knew that he had hit the alarm because he didn't realize that the button he hit is not silent, but sets off a siren alarm on the top of the house to ring throughout the neighborhood. So, Mommy went out to see what the problem was (and the neighborhood all came running to see what the problem was). When she tried to talk reseaonably to the replacement guard, he said it wasn't his problem that John was late, and just walked right past her. Wow....did my Mommy get mad. She stormed into the house and found her flip flops and then went running after the replacement guard who was on his way out of our gate. His supervisor was outside our gate assigning his replacement since John wasn't here yet. Well, not only did the replacement guard get an earful but his supervisor did as well. Uncle Topher and I followed her out to the gate (because Uncle Topher wanted to see what was happening). Boy my Mommy was giving it to them. In the middle of it all, John showed up (10 minutes late). She took him by the arm and told him that he was just fine and then she took the day replacements name and told everyone out there that if he ever was assigned to our house again, the owner of the company (who is Mommy's friend) would hear about it and that she never wanted that rude, thoughtless man at our house again.

I almost never see my Mommy yell.....it was quite a sight! I think Uncle Topher was a bit shocked too. And, I learned a lesson about Mommy.....don't mess with the people she cares about.

Mommy was not home too much today because she had to work quite a bit today and then she also had a meeting with the social worker who is dealing with our adoption case today. It was an ok meeting though....at least from what she reported back to me an Uncle Topher.

Big news is that tomorrow is my half birthday. I'm headed to bed now....gotta get plenty of rest for the big day ahead!
